You also now have the option of registering online by going to the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center website and creating an online
account. Registrations by fax, mail or email are NOT ACCEPTED. Registration MUST be made in person, over the phone, or
online.
PRE-REGISTRATION:
If your child is registered in the current session, you may pre-register for the next session. Pre-registration
will open on Wednesday starting at 10:00am, a week and a half before the start of each session.
PLEASE REGISTER FOR SWIM LESSONS CAREFULLY.
In order for your child to have a positive experience in our group lessons, it is important that he/she is registered
in the appropriate swim level. We will not keep a child in a class that does not meet his/her needs. Before registering
for the next session communicate with your child's instructor regarding the appropriate level for your child. In the event
that we must move a child to another level, we cannot guarantee that space will be available in the appropriate class.
LEVEL EVALUATION:
If your child has not taken lessons at our facility before and is not a beginning swimmer, we will help you determine
what level is appropriate for your child. The Course Descriptions and Entry Level Requirements will assist you in
determining the appropriate level for you child. If you are unsure call our Group Lesson Information line at
(626) 564-0330 ext. 405, 408, or 423. We will be glad to assist you.
LEVEL COMPLETION:
The American Red Cross and the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center swim lesson programs encourage children to learn at their own
pace and comfort level. Please do not expect your child to complete an entire level in one session.
SWIM CLASS SCHEDULE:
Learn-to-swim class schedules are available one week before registration opens. You can see which classes are being offered
at what times by picking up a Swim Times Flyer at the front desk or by visiting the Course Description section of Swim Lessons.
MAKE-UPS & REFUNDS:
There are NO MAKE-UPS OR REFUNDS for missed classes. The Director of Swim Lessons will issue credits ONLY for medically
excused absences with a note from your doctor. In the event that classes are canceled by the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center
due to circumstances beyond our control, a class credit will be issued to your Center account.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
Part of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center mission is to provide everyone the opportunity to participate in aquatic
activities regardless of their ability to pay. The Center is pleased to offer scholarships for our group lesson program to
those who qualify. Please pick up a scholarship application at the front desk or click the link for more information
link to scholarship page.
LOCKER ROOMS:
There are two separate locker rooms, one for each sex. No guardian can bring a child of the opposite sex, above the age of 3,
in the main locker room. Please use the adjacent restrooms for dressing young children who require assistance, when a same gender
guardian is not present.
